1. Who we are
TariffAuditLabs is a tariff recovery service based in the United States. We are the controller of the information described here. You can reach us through the contact form at /get-started.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
Company name, your name, work email, phone number, IEEPA exposure range, importer-of-record status, and any free-text details you share through the intake form at /get-started.
Information collected automatically
IP address, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, referring URL, pages viewed, session duration, and interaction events. This is collected by the analytics vendors listed above.
Cookies and similar technologies
First-party cookies (e.g. theme preference) and third-party cookies set by the analytics and advertising vendors above. These are used for measurement, de-duplication, and ad attribution.
3. How we use it
- Respond to intake submissions and assess whether we can help with your claim.
- Measure how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it.
- Run and measure advertising campaigns on Google and LinkedIn, including retargeting visitors who have not yet submitted an intake.
- Comply with legal obligations and defend against misuse of the site.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do share limited identifiers with advertising vendors for cross-context behavioral advertising, which is treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You can opt out below.
4. Analytics and advertising vendors
The following third-party scripts may load on this site. Each one only loads if its environment variable is configured, so a given deployment may use all, some, or none of these.
Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js)
Loaded from googletagmanager.com when NEXT_PUBLIC_GA_ID is set. Measures page views, session depth, and intake form step completions. Used to size traffic and understand which pages convert.
Google Ads (gtag.js)
Loaded alongside GA4 when NEXT_PUBLIC_GADS_IDis set. Records lead conversions and enables audience retargeting across Google's advertising network.
LinkedIn Insight Tag
Loaded from snap.licdn.com when NEXT_PUBLIC_LINKEDIN_PARTNER_ID is set. Used to measure B2B campaign performance and build retargeting audiences of importers and trade professionals who visit the site.
Microsoft Clarity
Loaded from clarity.ms when NEXT_PUBLIC_CLARITY_ID is set. Records anonymized session replays and heatmaps so we can see where visitors struggle in the intake flow. Keystrokes in form fields are masked by default.
5. Your choices
Browser controls. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and most respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. We honor GPC as an opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" under the CCPA.
Google. You can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on and manage ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com.
LinkedIn. Manage ad preferences in your LinkedIn account settings under Ads → Data privacy.
Do Not Track / opt-out requests. To exercise a CCPA right (know, delete, correct, opt-out of sale/sharing), email us at the address in the footer or submit a message via /get-startedwith the subject line "Privacy Request". We verify requests by matching the information against records we already hold.
6. Retention
Intake form submissions are retained for up to 36 months so we can respond to follow-up inquiries and meet our record-keeping obligations. Analytics data is retained for the default periods set by each vendor (GA4: 14 months; Clarity: 13 months; LinkedIn: up to 180 days for aggregated reporting).
7. Security
We use HTTPS for all traffic to this site and restrict access to intake data to the specialists working on your matter. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information we will notify you as required by law.
